This is a gestural abstraction in which my performance and interaction with the media dictates the outcome of the painting. Traditionally understood as abstract expressionism, this painting conveys the feeling of free spirits at play. As I work with fluid paint, the colors interact with my gestures and the substrate, and a subject and theme evolve as I continue to paint.
